installed 3200 spring and ground AFC
I got my spring today and got to work on it. the truck doesnt smoke much like i was hearing with the ground AFC. However, now with the spring, the truck is much more driveable, and builds boost much faster. It now requires almost no throttle to drive. deffidently worth the money, and it looks a lot more intimidating to do than it is.

Those must be some puny injectors then. A ground AFC lever works pretty good with stock intercooled injectors, but 190's and larger are hard to drive clean with a stick shift.

im pretty sure the injectors in it are the same as PODs? this is what i was told. The only time the truck really smokes is if you romp it hard from take off, and it clears up within a few seconds, maybe its because of the 14cm housing?

Not if it's just the stock LP. It cannot keep up with the fuel. The smoke clears cause it's starving. This is the case in most of the guys I know. I could roll it for the whole time it was on the floor till my trans said "No more 4X4 launchs". LOL

Yes, well thats my next upgrade, a piston style pump. i was thinking this might be why it doesnt smoke a lot, because it just can not keep up with the fuel the truck needs.

Something's not right. I can understand starving a pump under full power and boost because of a tired lift pump, but if you mash the pedal with a ground AFC, fuel screw bottomed and injectors the size of PODs, it's gonna billow smoke to beat the band, at least for several seconds. I've got a feeling your throttle is indexed wrong.

Aeromotive A-1000 is a huge pump and will supply all your needs. However a boost referenced regulator set to 15 at idle and a 1:1 rise as boost comes up will give you some serious benefits. A snap ring in the front seal of the IP is needed to prevent blowout though.

Ok guys, well here is a picture of the smoke i get if i mash it from a stop, but it will clear up within a few seconds. Does this look like how PODs would smoke? i was told the Bully dog injectors could either be like 190s or PODs, but i dont think 190s would smoke like this?

Any injectors will smoke when under the turbo with a ground AFC lever. That looks pretty normal to me. With your injectors, it shouldn't clear up on the top end like you're saying with the stock turbo. I'm starting to suspect the pump is starving. Time for a FP gaugeFor reference, here's a quick vid of my truck. Stock non-ic injectors, which are nearly the size of PODs. Maxed pump, ground afc, no intercooler, HTT upgrade. I roll into 1st and 2nd and go about 3/4 throttle in 3rd and 4th.
