Which Injectors Would You Buy?

I'm thinking of getting some 40HP injectors for the old power wagon hoping it will run cleaner on the cold starts. I will be pulling hard with it on long hills. I have a pyrometer and truck driving experience so I'm aware that you can't just stand on it for extended periods of time.

Would you guys recommend these 40 HP new injectors (probably made in China)

Or some 40HP reconditioned injectors by BD?

Ya the reconditioned ones cost more but if there a better product it's worth it.

Which injectors would you buy or recommend?

I put new Bosch 190 injectors in mine and got more smoke. I had to back off the star wheel and smoke screw but there is still more smoke than the stock ones.

Your wallet will hurt for a bit, but I would give DDP2's some serious thought.

Known quality, and proven performance.

Wholesale on the stock injectors, or the bosch +40's (432 131 837) is under $50 ea. Can't see paying $700 for a set of injectors for a road machine.

I put in a set of DPP 7x10 sacs about 30,000 ago. They're coming out and stock injectors going back in. Getting tired of cleaning soot off the boat.

What are you running for a turbo? My 7X10 VCO's cleaned right up as soon as the turbo caught up. Only a puff of black smoke at the start of each gear.

Stock turbine with 60mm wheel. Automatic transmission. Injectors haze at idle, always have. They burn pretty clean running at speed no load, but when I'm pulling, it's smoking a bit to a bunch.

Took 2 months to get them after I paid for them. They were built up on badly pitted cores, with pretty bad wrench tracks on them. 2 leaked right away and had to be replaced under warranty.

These aren't VCO's. they're SACs. Even with thin washers, I think they miss the bucket a bit. Mileage seems decent, but nothing to brag about.

Glad I mentioned them, I was under the impression ( especially for the price ) that they were brand new units.

It has been a few years since I inquired, but the second gen guys seemed to think they worked the best.

Guess I need to look around some more.

What ever you decide is always your own.

Myself I will only buy from a real bosch shop. Not a silly shop that only sells parts & works only on toy diesel trucks.
Toy trucks meaning pickups a real shop works on OTR tractors dump trucks marine motors ETC ETC.

You buy form a toy truck shop you will be getting these injectors http://www.starsdiesel.net/Diesel-In...37_p12471.html MIC

BTW those are ddp injectors

Great I like the idea of using quality Bosch parts so I don't have to with it again.

I typed this number that J posted into google 432 131 837 and injectors popped up but couldn't confirm that this is the correct part number for a '93 5.9. Can anyone confirm this is the correct number for +40 injectors?

+ 40's that fit '93. My son has a set in his truck. He likes them. The injectors he replaced were Chicom crap. This is his first first gen. He wore out a second gen 24V. 400k plus miles, some of them taking the switchbacks through the middle crossways.
