injection pump spraying fuel?

injection pump spraying fuel?

hey guys i took my pump top off to reseal it it was spraying fuel out from behind it but when i put her back together its still leaking i cant tell if it the main front seal or what but it sparays out so fast and so much its wild ,,any ideas where it could be coming from any help would be appreciated thanks guys

That's a tough one to diagnose without seeing what's happening. If you took the top off to reseal it..and it's still leaking....then you didn't fix the problem?

Is it leaking the same as before you took things apart? Is it worse? Or is it a bit better?

Why did you remove the top of the pump? What made you think the leak was there?

well my fuel pin had been leaking for a while then one day i went to start it and fuel just start spraying everywhere from behind the pump so i thought it was the top seal leaking ,,,but it looks like its coming from the front of the pump but behind it,,,im going to make a video after the sun comes up and the kids go to school,,,and ill try to post it,,,

well i put the new o rings on the control valve before i put the pump top on,and this looks like its coming from the main front twards the bottom could it be the front seal of the pump its pouring the rain out now or i would post a video

The main shaft seal would be leaking into the crank case. That's the only other one on the front of the pump, other then the control valve assembly.

hey cows could it be a busted fuel line,,,does that ever happen,,,i put a new seal on the pump top then while i had it tore down i replaced the o rings on the control valve i cant figure where it would be coming from ,,,theres nothing on the other side,,,,or has the main case ever busted on a pump before....thanks guys

Try to see between the pump and motor using mirror or whatever.
I got a 91 real cheep because of a big fuel leak from engine side of pump. It was a loose plate #39, (lower right in parts diagram). The biggest problem was that the pump had to be removed to get to it.
