what kind of pressure should I be seeing before the injection pump
I see 9 PSI on the filter inlet. 7 PSI on the filter outlet. There is a 2 PSI drop threw our filter/heater assy's.

Sounds like the way to go is two sending units one before and one after the filter connected to the same gauge. Anyone have a photo of this setup? That being the case the electric may be the way to go for simplicity. Is this over kill?

Still lookin for a 0-15 or 0-10 psi 270* fuel pressure gauge. Anyone know of one? At a reasonable price of course.

Step into the 30 PSI gages. If you ever upgrade to the low pressure piston lift pump it would be maxed out. Most mechanical gages seem to live longest when they are working in the middle of their pressure range.

I've been lookin for a gauge with a good deflection but can't really find one. I am thinkin of an electric with a switch to before and after the filter. I want to be able to read a couple of # difference.

What are you usin?

You can't get much more reasonable than this :

They also have a 0-16-PSI Stewart-Warner for about thirteen-bucks; I have had one on one of my trucks for a couple years.

Yeah that's pretty cheap for sure. I don't have to go that cheap but didn't want to spend 200 bucks for one. I see a SW 0-15 2 1/16" 270* sweep gauge but it's mechanical. Do you know if they make one in an electric? I am thinkin now about the two sender setup?

You don't need a pre-filter gauge. If the pressure after the filter drops, change the filter. If that doesn't fix the fuel pressure problem, then the lift pump is bad. The chance that you might replace a fuel filter when the lift pump is the problem is a silly reason to buy a sending unit.

Hi Dave

Ok one it is. LOL Sometimes I can get carried away. Your right it would be a bit of over kill.

Can the tapped banjo bolt be obtained locally or is it mail order only?

Picked up an electric Stewart Warner fuel pressure gauge today. Anyway need a mounting cup for it. Are these things universal fit for a 2 1/16 or do I have to get one from SW?

thanks

So far, every 2- or 2-1/16 gauge I have dealt with all fit the same hole.
