I'll give COAL for christmas
It's back together, after nearly a months work, just in time for the near blizzard conditions we have this evening. I managed to snap some images of the truck saturday morning when it was a balmy 49 degrees, I'll try to post them soon.
Yes, I'll give large clouds of coal (diesel soot) this year. The cummins is back on the road, with my home rebuilt Getrag 5 speed with a real ventilation system, mobil 1 5w30 with lucas pure synthetic engine oil treatment (that is for gear cases too), South Bend Con OFE clutch, repaired rear driveshaft, new KSB switch, rear main seal, and lots of little parts only Chrysler can provide.
Total cost: $2200
Expressions on peoples faces: Priceless
Lack of the previous getrag external lubrication system also priceless.

Thanks for all the help guys. Especially those of you who stepped up when I needed those Getrag overhaul directions. I ended up with a quiet transmission when it was all said and done.
