ignition hot source for relay signal
Where is a good place to get a ignition on signal to close a couple of relays? Its a 1992 W250 5spd wiring harness. A source on the drivers fender would be idea.
How much draw does it take to close a relay? Can I use the same signal to control 2?

There is a dark blue 14ga wire you will see in a few places under the hood. I think it's called K4, and comes from the ignition switch to power things like the shutoff solenoid. It also makes an appearance at the diagnostic connector by the driver side hood hinge. You can probably splice into it close to the engine harness connectors at the rear of the engine.
A typical relay winding draws around 75 milliamps if I remember right. Should be no problem using that circuit to trigger a couple.
