If it wasn't for bad luck I would have none at all
had great weather today in So Cal so I decided to take the vw out for a spin well after hitting 3rd gear something went boom and next thing I know I'm a fire ball

a few second degree burn's on my right arm and back of head but I got lucky and got out before I got hurt worse . it wasn't fuel line that was all SS and was under car protected I think I blew a oil cooler or something At least I can say first time down 1/4 mile track last yr it did 13.56 at 100 mph

it happened today at 12 noon up in the high desert Apple Valley/Victorville area on Bear Valley road
running a 2332 with dual webber 48 IDA's had 187 hp at the rear wheel's it's now going to be the donor for my Son's bug we have or atleast the useable part's rest is going to scrap yard

where on bear valley road, i was going north on hesperia road just after noon, and noticed a huge amount of traffic going south, backed up for 3 miles, like they closed b.v. road,

I've been out there before,
Occasionally I attend the Edwards Air Force Base airshow near there
Great for Dunebuggies and dirtbikes

Hey Sooty Yep that was me I was on the bridge right before commercial Blvd Yeah it was a rocket alright I beat a few vette's and made em tuck tail and go back home now it recovery time burn's hurt

Hey Joe thank you very much for the offer but it's sitting along side the house as we speak only thing that ****** me off was tow company charged me 200 buck's even thou I had AAA they said cause I was notwith car they had to tow it to there yard first as for the motor it's hurt but just back side and lucky it had the new style Alumium case
