idle shake.. bad to worse

well when i bought this truck i thought the idle shake was due to low idle. idle is right at 800. i've run double to triple doses of injector cleaner and it's made a huge diff in the way it drives but idle is the same. i adjusted the valves. again the truck drives even nicer, but still the idle shake. lastly this past weekend we changed the tranny (not because of the shake) and now it is HORRIBLE! could this be motor mounts? drivers side looks fine, passenger side has some rubber that i can get my fingers on that looks out of place. on acceleration the shifter does not move hardly at all. any ideas? like to get this fixed. if idle was at 1000 i'd have no shake, lol but that's a little high

Crack your injectors one at a time , see if theres a big difference , the one with the least diff. is the worst one , may need to pop test to see if there out of balance , get rid of the reason for the shake [ running ruff ] , then fix what lets it shake , motor mnts .

tboling- it's a 5-speed but in and out of gear doesn't matter. and it's only below like 950rpm

John, i've cracked each inj individually with the same change for each of them. none of them stuck out.

i found that i don't believe the ksb is working... it's getting voltage at the wire but i'm still getting clouds of blue on cold starts... you said timing slip? you think it may be running retarded? throttle responce is pretty crappy. BTW i took a closer look at the motor mounts and they seem to be just fine. i haven't changed the fuel filter since i got it, but it can run the high rpms no problem

The timing can't slip on rotary pumps like other models.

Blue smoke can be oil or raw fuel. Is it pungent, will it burn your eyes?

The engine should sound different with and without the KSB activated. Additionally you can remove the solenoid and verify that it works.
Even if it works it can still crank out blue smoke.
When I had blue smoke at idle in cold weather it was beause the timing was way too high.

it's not pleasant, goes away once the truck has warmed up.

I would still pull those injectors and have them pop tested.

If anyone has ever changed your injection pump then its possible the pump gear moved one tooth and the timing is wrong. That is what happened to me.

no one has removed the pump, i purchased from the orig. owner. when the KSB wire is off/on there is no difference. in the intercooled model the change should be instant correct? more rattle plugged in (advanced) less rattle unplugged (retarded) right?

Pull the solenoid out and see if it moves when powered.
