Guys i need some help. My truck W350 auto that was turned up 5 years ago with no problems but last week while driving the idle would hang at 1/4 thorttle then came back down to normal idle. I drove it home and checked all the linkages and idle screw and found no problems. it never actted up again untill today and now is acting like it is hung at 1/2 thorttle it will run at 40 mph without me giving it any throttle. After it cooled down the idle did go down to about 1/4 thorttle.

Is the throttle linkage against the low idle screw on the pump?

Yep checked all that the first time and second time it acts as it if cruise is set and you still on in park.

careful, sounds like a potential runaway, with motor off, disconnect linkage to pump and feel full throttle activity, does it spring throughly through the pull? you might pull the top of the pump to check governor and spring activity, something may have come apart and is obstructing, once again, be careful, have a board ready when starting to block intake air for shutdown, good luck.
