20 ~ 25psig.

Unless you're into pulling the trans and fixing the carnage, you'll need to upgrade all the shafts to billet/alloy.

In the mean time, you might consider limiting the launch boost to 10 / 15psig.

@ 1STGENFARMBOY: I can't remember just now. I'm at the beach and have been drinking a little (OK, a LOT!!). I want to say around 35ish psig (BF Goodrich All Terrain Radials, 33" OD on 16" rims).

My best at a 1/4th mile track (@15' elevation (good air)) was 12.81 with a 60' of 1.69 seconds. That was last year.

With some tuning, I've been able to pull off an 1/8th mile ET (@253' elevation) of 8.03 with a 60' of 1.69 seconds.

At the end of the day though, the high-boost launches can break mess. It is fun though.

I am not going to make boosted launches everyday but on the occasion that I take it to the track I will try it when I get traction. If it breaks I will fix it lol.

I know I got a set of slicks but I can't find a cheap set of wheels to mount them on. I need 16x10 wheels and I can't find a used set anywhere. I can't see spending the money on new wheels to use them once or twice a year.

Bc what do you think your truck would run if you launched with little or no boost?

Absolutely MUCH slower as the turbo(s) wouldn't be spooled. I'd kill a lot of skeeters while my opponent handed me my behind.

IIRC, The last time I was down at Coastal Plains Dragway (in Jacksonville, NC), I was having a bad issue with all four tires keeping traction, resulting in the truck jumping about violently in the first 50 feet. It was such that if I had stayed in it, I'm sure an axle or something would have broke.
I tried launching at a lower boost number starting with 10psig. The results were terrible as far as ET's go. 60' time was over 2.1x or so.

The bottom line is: With my turbo set-up, I've got to get above about 15psig for the primary to begin singing. As such, my 60's dropped dramatically. It appears that with my mess, 20psig (or more) launch boost is the shizzle with the 60's typically being around a low 1.7x.

I'd recommend one take a day (or more) at your local track to practice/experiment and start with, say 10psig and race the clock (forget your opponent). Try your best to be consistent with your launch procedure and boost number so that after three or four rounds, you can average the results. Then increase the boost a few pounds and see how it compares. Eventually, you'll run into traction issues (if something doesn't break first).

BE AWARE though that certainly, the more boost you launch with, will result in lower 60's, but you're increasing the shock and load on the trans and drive-line. This brings the old saying "Ya gotta pay to play" front and center.

It is said also that most races are won in the first 100'.

I would like to go 13.50. As it stands I think I put down the best time that she is capable of at this point. Anything above 6psi and it spins and runs slower. When I get the slicks on I think that will help but I ain't sure how much. I want real injectors and a real turbo but all I need is some more money lol. I have been debating getting th 60mm wheel upgrade for the turbo but I don't know if that will be enough to reach my goal.
