I love my truck....
I am talking about the 91 in my signature. Today I had to make a trip and I had started snowing. The truck has the grids removed and wasn't plugged in. I also hadn't started it for about two weeks. I walked up to the truck with a friend of mine, gave the rain flapper on the hood stack a good smack to break the ice off it (freezing rail/snow) and hopped it. It only took one turn of the starter and it popped off, ran rough for about 5 seconds and smoothed My friend couldn't believe it. I had to go back to the garage to find an ice scraper, by the time I got back to the truck, the hood stack had defrosted 3/4 of the windshield It continued to snow while we ran to the store and I took the opportunity on the way home to drift a little, , a fun time had by all!

Love mine, too.
I loved my crew truck when it was a gasser and I had never had a diesel. It hurt to park it about three and a half years ago before I had ever driven a cummins. Since, I have had a '98 24-valve, 2w dually and my current '95 in my sig. I'm mopar/cummins all the way now. I can't wait to get on the road with the crew again. This time blowin' black smoke.
I find it amazing that you can squish the oil for half a rev (three cylindars)and have your truck fire-up just like that in freezing weather. These things are cool.

the outside diameter of the stack is 5 inch. The hole in the hood is 6 inch. Since the hinges on the truck sort of lift and pivot... I am able to get the hood open about half way with the stack on. If I need to do anything extensive, it's only one nut to get the stack off.
