I guess this is goodbye.

Well, after settling with the insurance company and getting my money I've decided to go get a new truck. With my business taking most of my time I don't have time to work on a truck constantly so new with warranty seemed the best route. I drove the new dodge and I liked the engine but didn't really like the truck. I ended up getting an 07 chevy silverado classic crewcab, longbed d-max. I already introduced myself over at dieselplace and told them that I hope they are as courteous and helpful as you have all been. My best wishes to all and thanks alot for the help with my old girl.

Exactly, a diesel is a diesel. I personally love my dad's dmax (05 LLY) and I hear the 07s will light the tires up.

Yeah you don't have to go anywhere. Nice buy though, I am sure it will be a good truck. It just might not have that same attitude, but I am sure it will get the job done. The rough ride and the noise seem to be addictive with these first gens.

I can understand your position...

You either buy a new car and make payments, or buy a used car and make repairs!

I love my dodge, but dont get me wrong, its a hobbiest vehicle like jeeps and vw's....takes a special person to want to drive/fix em. When you need a simple reliable vehicle that just drives its best to get a second car .

You should have bought the 6.7 dodge diesel 6sp auto!!!!!!!!!

Just got back for a test drove. WWWWOW!!!!!!!
Mash it to the floor and it will pin you to the seat until 105 MPH or until you lift on that long skinny peddle

No i'm not going to step up to a new truck, real like my non computer truck

That 6.7 sure would be fun at the drag strip!!!!!!!!!

I deliberately wanted to stay away form the DPF and all the other 07 emission stuff. That's why I demanded an 07 classic. I told them I wouldn't take the new LMM. The truck is very impressive and makes working out of my truck alot easier and enjoyable. The only thing I don't like is the HORRIBLE ground clearance but with a truck this long I don't plan on offroading. After having a cummins 12V it's hard to remember this thing is on when you're working at the back of it. The stock exhaust has to go. Thanks for all the best wishes. The main reason I stayed away from DC is because their warranty coverage is a joke and the trucks just feel too plasticky IMO. But if that's what other people choose, it's their money. I didn't even drive a Ferd.
