Hydraulic Clutch Issues
What's up guys long time no talk......anyways, Yesterday, did alot of work to my truck after not taking care of it for a few months getting started at my new job and what not.
Did all the rear brakes (again), and new brake master cylinder
Brakes were great,
Put new bilstein shocks on front, rode great!
So I'm all excited, love my truck again.
......Pull into the ACME and the clutch pedal goes limp to the floor and truck keeps going! So i quick popped it in Neutral, only like the last 2 inches of clutch pedal travel felt like anything hydraulic, wasnt disengaging clutch
Went in got what i needed and came back out, clutch felt fine. pumped it like 50 times, it was still ok, engaging/disengaging normal. normal feel.
Go to pull out of parking spot and it does it again! goes limp but this time it will still disengage just enough to shift it so i drive to the other end of the parking lot and go to push it and absolutely nothing again,
So i pumped the CRAP out of it in anger, and build enough hydraulic pressure i guess to drive .4 miles to my house (not using clutch) but i had TO PUSH the clutch pedal against the firewall so hard to get it to barely disengage.
Clutch slave cylinder was replaced 2 years ago, when i did the Rebuilt trans and new Valair clutch .
AFAIK, the clutch master assembly has NEVER been replaced, looks original.
That's the only thing i can think of?
Unless the junky NAPA slave cyl. has went bad after 2 years.
Thanks in Advance
Brandon

Dunno about Getrag clutch hydraulics but its been my experience that when a slave goes it usually has an external leak, so if the master was/is full and theres nothing dripping underneath you prob made the right choice.

Replaced the master. One i got from Advance has a metal body! Original one was plastic, so I'm happy about that.
Clutch feels better than ever now. But i found a leak at the slave cyl. the clutch line fitting where it goes into the slave cylinder
