12v's also had a clamp on elbow you can remove to attach a 1st gen downpipe, 24v's had a one piece backplate and elbow that need to use a 2nd gen style downpipe. A 2nd gen downpipe can be used, but things get a little tight around the firewall.

got a newbie question for ya. is swappin an hx35 from a 94-98 a good cheap upgrade over a HC1? mostly doing towin, but would like her to spool up abit quicker. or even maybe a hybrid hx35 with a bigger compresor side? thanks for the tips

Yes the HX would be a good upgrade especially if you have your pump tweaked some. The other thing is depending on what year the engine you swapped in you might have the 21cm exhaust housing and most HX's have a 12cm which will give you faster spool up.

yea the motors a 91' with the massive 21cm. are the hx35s really that small that seems like it would put the egts to the moon? what size is the compressor, and turbine on the hx35s from a 94-98? just tryin to get sum info. thanks again
