Howling/Droning sound...
It seems when I am running the truck there is a loud "drone" or that is quiet when i am cruising...but gets lound when i go up hills or accelerate. Is that just exhaust drone? Should it be loud enough that it overpowers the engine/turbo noise? I have a few very small holes in the pipe before the muffler (stock exhaust) but not on the downpipe. Could that be causing it? Will this noise go away with a larger exhaust? Thanks...

Exhaust!!
YES------Your Exhaust will cause this to happen. Expecially since you said that it happens when you are going up a hill or getting on it. Replace the exhaust and install a highflow cat.

The noise will go away when I stop following you . No, it is your exhaust. If it is straight piped it will do it. but the holes dont help either.a muffler will help matters a lot.
