How would this look
I just got a 1993 Club Cab 4x4. It is a little bit ragged, so I am working on cleaning it up.
The trim around the exterior of the truck is in pretty bad shape, so I was thinking about removing it.
the truck is two tone, with green on top and silver on bottom.
Would removing the trim expose something (other than the adhesive) that would have to be covered? Do you think it would look alright with the trim removed?
I am referring to the trim that is vertical as well as the trim that goes around the wheel wells.
Thanks,
Russ

Well, There are holes that the wheel well trim pieces snap into.... Also, The glue is a edit to get off... Like I had to use a scraper... Two holes on the back of the cab too.. The doors shouldn't have any, the box is good just around the wheel well.. So depends on how much work you want to do!!

I am in the process of re-finsihing mine too.
There are 2 holes (on each side) on the cab behind the doors, and 3 holes (on each side) of the front fenders in front of the wheel wells for the trim. Other than that, its held on by glue. Heat gun ( or hair dryer) will help you out quite a bit on these.. If you get em hot enough they peel right off.
I won't be putting any trim back on, it looks better w/o IMO.
To fill the holes, I simply cut slugs out of a bolt, and welded them in to fill.
Will need a little body filler before repaint but I haven't got that far yet.
