I would assume that would be correct. It indicates the field coil and brushes in the alternator are good.

If you ground the green one, the alternator will full field. Battery voltage will go up, and you'll hear the load increase on the engine. If you ground the blue one you'll burn something out. Actually, when you put the test light on the green one, the battery voltage should go up some.

Are you pulling the plug off the PCM, or is there an external voltage regulator on yours? What year is your truck?

My truck is a 06 dodge 2500 with the 5.9 I just went over everything and changed the voltage regulator had my alternator tested it passed put it all back together and seems to be working I just have to get my power wire to a key source because it's on the battery. ..

My 1st shot at doing this is had my ground wire for the regulator on my power wire I was doing it all in the dark with a flash light just got them mixed up and I think that was my problem it fried my reg . My battery charger I have says my battery is at 100% and my alternator is at 199% but I have low voltage

You will probably have much more help in the 3rd gen section. You are in the first gen 89-93 trucks.

I have no idea what to tell you. You must be too poor to pay attention. This is the first gen forum (89-93) You have a third gen Dodge.

You have corrosion at the terminals or in the battery cable. One side is receiving the charge from the Alt, not the other.

Either that has to be it or you have a bad battery, but I assume you had it tested.
