How to take off Harmonic Balancer
I have the head off so I have NO compression or belts to hold it from spinning....so how do I keep it from turning while I'm trying to loosen the 4 bolts that hold it on?..help

When I had mine off I had to have my brother holt the flexplate with a prybar. Even with compression I needed him to hold it.
If you have a barring tool you could put it in and engage the teeth on the flywheel/flexplate and put a breaker bar in it and let it hit the frame while you loosen the bolts.

its easy if you have a barring tool and someone to hold it... if not i put a hardwood block between the notch in the balancer and the crossmember.

It'll be hard to get an impact down there unless you have the radiator out. I wedged a piece of metal bent at 90* between the notch in the balancer and something else, dont remember exactly what it was.

How much space is down in there? I have a 3/8 drive ingrsol rand impact gun thats roughly 4 1/4" long , and has some wicked torque, it has broken off 1/2 bolts on me , repeatedly , and it LOVES to crack my snap on impact sockets....

I also have a 1/2 mac impact http://www.mactools.com/ProductDetai...ItemNum=AW5500
and a set of snap on swivel impact sockets http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....da&dir=catalog
If none of that stuff can get a stubborn bolt out , the blue tipped wrench usually comes out of hiding...
