PapeCat,
I bought my black 93 two years ago. I bought it because I've wanted one of the old body style Dodges, they just look the best in my opinion. I've owned diesels for 15 years, so I knew it had to be a 12V. I had no idea how popular these trucks were with the younger crowd when I bought it, but within about 6 months of being on a couple different forums that deal with the 1st gens, I became to realize that these trucks are hugely popular with young guys (and even a few girls). I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, it just is. When I was younger, I used to tear my stuff up just so I could work on it. I think these 1st gens suit that type of crowd, looks cool but needs alot of maintenance to keep on the road. That's exactly the kind of vehicle I had as a teenager, a 57 Chevy. Maybe these are the new age 57 Chevys...who knows.

You are correct Bill,
I like your outlook on the same (anecdotal) data we are seeing these days.

I bought my 93 w350 approx. two years ago. I gone through two batteries 'cause she overcharges. Replaced the fuel lift pump. Rear wheel seal . Put in a used ($50) starter. Gonna rebuild the old one some day. Kingpin bushings are bad, easy fix ( BUSHINGS are easy, kingpins take some muscle) Injector pump leaks, even worse with a good fuel pump ... imagine that. But she's got 260k plus on her, so I ain't complaining. The original owner was pretty tuff on her. I ain't afraid to go anywhere, anytime. I guess it's an addiction. By the way, not to get off subject here, but if anyone knows where I can find a speedometer sensor drive for a 3.54 ratio truck I'd be abliged. The previous owner put a drive for a 4.11 in this one. It works, except I have to divide my MPH reading by 1.16 to get my actual speed.
