How much tranny fluid do I need to do a filter change?

How much tranny fluid do I need to do a filter change?

Do i need the full 11 quarts when changing out the tranny filter? thanks

I think you'll only get 4 or 5 qts from the pan. The rest is in the system. If you want to get it all out I'm told you must remove the return line and run the truck while an assitant catches it. In that case, I'm not sure how much you need total.
