How much r134?

The conversion from R12 to R134a is 80 - 85%. With three cans you really pushed over the top. Was or is the system empty when you started the recharge? Has the system been flushed from the older ester oil? Is the newer PAG oil been installed? Has there been an updated "H" valve installed.
Sorry due to the laws within Canada I have been doing retro fits since 1997(or maybe before that). Don't mean to be long winded.

I have never used any of the blends (Freeze 12) or any others. When you look at the MSDS they are usually a blend with butane, propane or any of the other flameable products.
The problem with blends is you have two or more different products that will leak out at different rates. So the dilema (sp) is what do you recharge the system to get it back to the original blend.
Some of the blends also come with a stop leak product inside the can or as a seperate can. This can degrade the system by blocking passages or worse case scenario causing the H valve to stick or seize. In vehicles with orfice (Chev/ Ford) it will block the orfice tube.
The blends are an ongoing debate, and have been since R12 has no longer been made. Lots of people are on different sides of the fence. There are enough nasty products that we use everyday in our vehicles, I don't see the need to add more to the mix.
Not trying to start a debate or a fight. Just stating what I feel.
Hope this Helps.
