Here in Kansas, I payed about $75 for the 92, $100 for the Lumina and $130 or so for the 98. Back in South Dakota, where they don't have this property tax on vehicles nonsense, it was around $40.

Every state is different. I know Colorado (used to live there) is based on some book value. An '08 Lexus pays scads more than an '02 Cavalier.
Like Wanna said: PA is weight based. 3/4 ton is now $153.00
On a slightly different angle - tolls: This Spring I was pulling my gooseneck across the Del. Water Gap bridge on I-80, large tractor on board, around 14k plus truck.
They charged me commercial truck fee - PER AXLE - if I remember right it was $10.00 each. I've gone around that bridge ever since.
Seems like sometimes they just see you cummin.

I paid 691, about 450 for the weight fee I think. 20k gcvw. Business has been super slow this year, I think I have towed the bobcat twice. What I have been told by chp, is that any truck over 10gvw is supposed to pull into scales, and they are supposed to have the weight sticker. most guys are getting around it still, but I live in between a scale house and inspection point so I pay. needless to say, I think it is complete b.s, and this is my last year of paying.

In MO, I paid $100 for 24K GCVW. My renewal for 18K on my current truck is $63. Property tax is around $100 for 2 trucks. Not sure what insurance is since it got moved to my fiance's insurance- house, her truck, my trucks, etc, all on one bill.
When I was in CO, it was nice to pay property tax and registration all at once. Here, I have to go to the courthouse and pay it by the end of the year, naturally, 8-5 M-F.
