I have 240,000 with no problem except torn shut down plunger.
But to make things more interesting, my truck was a NJ Turnpike Authority truck, when my Dad bought it he had all the maintance logs with it. The truck was shut down for routine maitance only, it idled for 10 years before my Dad bought it
That's 87,600 hours ... lets figure average of 35mph, thats 3,066,000 miles
I think my VE has done well, I just hope it keeps going like it does

I forgot about my old MILLION-MILE truck.
Although I am the third owner, I know both the other owners real well, and can remember the truck when it was bought new.
When it was less than a year old, it got stolen and was missing for days.
Some hunters found it, as far out in a swamp as it could go, hung to the axles, tires spinning madly, and the engine running wide-open with a concrete-block on the pedal.
It was full of fuel when stolen, found less than twenty miles from home, and the low-fuel light was lit when they shut it off.
The VE-pump has never been off the engine.
It will fire as quick as any and runs strong.
