Full fuel screw
you do not have to drill the pump, just peel off the stop collar. it is a split sleeve tack ed to the bolt. you can get a small punch in the split and peel the sleeve off the bolt, then you`ll have lots of threads on the bolt to screw into the pump. if you`ve got some patience, you can peel it off in the truck, or just take the bolt/ screw out of the pump and peel the sleeve off with the bolt held in a vise.

This modification is for after one has taken off the sleeve and would like to screw it in even further. Two different size screws came with our pumps, the long one will let you adjust fuel tell run away and the short one does not. For instance my sleeve has been taken off and I have my screw bottomed out on the pump and still no run away. This modification is or someone who doesn't want to pay 20 bucks for the long one and wants to use the short screw to get to run away.

My screw bottoms out inside the pump. There is still a lot of thread on the outside. What am I actually hitting inside the pump that a longer screw would address? Can i just remove a few more threads at the end of the screw to achieve the same results?

no the end of the screw makes it into the pump actually. there is an o-ring on the screw that has 2 "shoulder" looking things that hold the o-ring in... the 1 shoulder thing will hit the threads. thats why i removed some threads.

Now it makes sense. It has been a couple years since I looked at that end of the fuel screw. I forgot about the oring.
