How fast is "H" on the speedo?

I don't have a tach on mine and I am curious how fast a 92 with a well calibrated speedo is going when the needle is pointing at the "H" in MPH on the bottom of the speedometer? With dial calipers it looks like around 115 or so.

I did that once... felt a bit like sailing. never again! 120+ in a 3rd Gen is a bit smoother, but still quite dangerous!

Ive ran mine into that area and it was around 110-115 with a neon calculating it for me. I think mine feels pretty safe at that speeds.

Fast enough that "death wobble" would require a seatectomy.

The speed isn't nearly as scary if you get there quickly and come right back down to freeway speed.

Triple digit speeds are reserved for spinning the tires on ice/mud/snow

With my 3.07s and getrag I hit what I figured to be around 120 or so, going off how long it took to come back around 100 when I let off. By that time the truck was floating along pretty nice and smooth. Scary--YES! Fun---YES! But with my new fuel pin Im sucking my pump dry around 98 so thats good for my well being lol.

I was not driving my truck on that run, but that would be one way of getting an approximate reading. I'm leaning towards paying for an extra run next time I'm on the dyno. Pull to that point and see what the mph is on the sheet. I figured someone might have already done it. Thought I'd ask.

It's at least 115, maybe closer to 120. I ran the numbers. I wraped my speedo almost to the peg and nerly melted the pistons in the process. Haven't done it since.
