Man, I pull 6,000 pounds with my little 4.7 Ram all the time and it does it great. I still haven't towed with my diesel but I expect that it won't even feel it. Literally... I did hook up my trailer to it once with an enormous amount of tongue weight and the height of the hitch didn't change AT ALL. Although I think it does have majorly beefed up springs. Still!

This does not show much of the truck but towing a 65 Belvedere. Suspension does not even feel it, it does slow it down a bit especially since my truck is pretty stock.

Here's one of the old girl here from a few days ago. Truck got 19.33 mpg towing this setup which was a pleasant surprise.

Here is a pic of my '75 bringing home a '91 Mercedes 300D (diesel). Towed it 110 miles - this rig is an animal! 21 MPG and lots of looks from truckers and others as I pulled passed them on the hills.
