Hooooooo boy, You guys need to do this!
Installed the 3200rpm spring Wednesday, all I can say is, you guys who haven't done it, do it!!!! Took me 2 hours and I spent some time fabbing tools. I even turned down the power screw because I didn't want to risk a run away yet.The changing is remarkable!
A story goes with it. Today I was going through town and the road goes from a 2 lane down to a single lane while changing speed from 30 to 40 mph. Well I had this Bonneville on my rear. He was sporting a window decal that said "Supercharged". Hmmm I thought. Well going up the hill I was slowing down, him next to me. The light changes to green and I was moving so I kept it in 3rd gear. Well just starting off the line was a 2001 1500 Chebbie (looked like it) with a trailer. Well bonny is sportin' rims and rubber band tires, a guy with sunglasses with a attitude, and 2 girls in the rear seat. Well he pulls in behind me. I get in front of the truck and in about 150ft the road narrows. Well he THOUGHT he could pass me but na ah. I had just shifted into 4th and laid into the pedal. Smoked him with the exhaust and the truck! All because I changed that spring.
Just another mod to add to the list.

The good ol 366 spring strikes again!! It is absolutly amazing, the difference is so much different. It does feel like a whole new engine!
hehe, I too have been having thoughts like "wow, if the 366 spring is this much of a difference, I wonder what the 4K RPM GSK is like??"

A 4k GSK is very tetchy - at least in a 2nd gen.
I have not driven a 1st gen with a stiffer spring than the 366. Mine is about as twitchy as I'd want, much of this is due to swapping the ball stud for the return spring in the throttle lever.

I can tell you that a Stage IV turbo makes the 3,200 spring sing! When I first got my truck it would only go 89mph, and that was at total defuel. Now it don't know the top speed, bit I still have 35psi at 110!!!! (uh, allegedly ).
