Hooked to the sled last night

I took the truck down to the local pull last night to see how it would do. It looks like I might of had a decent run going until I blew one of the intercooler boots. Notice the sound that the truck makes after I blew the boot. It sucked all the other boots completely closed.
One thing I noticed is that my truck hardly smoked lat night. The first time I hooked to a sled it smoked like crazy, but JDGnut didnt think it was loading the truck enough this time. Thanks Bryan for the video and all the hours spent wrenching on the truck.

I'll make another attempt next week and maybe it will go better.

Quote of the night... " Dude.. He blew the engine... No, man.. it was the trany.."

Loose track.. It was little better today.. but not much... I got a few more dates for pulls.. Going to be the same sled in Alvardo.. Also a pull in Fairfield, with payback...

Well I didnt even know you were going to be pulling anytime soon???? I guess I will have to give you a call since I will be home all week with nothing to do. The Doc said I cant go to work. I will be calling in the morning. I might have something for you to try??? Remind me when I talk to you. Did you get that locker in that I gave you????

That track is horrible! I wouldnt dare pull on that. Looks like used asphalt. Nice truck though.

No kidding.. another reason he passed on a second pass... it really just clodded black dirt.. and lots of rocks... It was OK for my Putt-Putt tractor.. but not for a truck....
We weren't too far from ya.. in LeRoy.. East of Waco (Elm Mott) on Hwy 308.. you know the dirt.. haha...

I like the "local pull" idea. We haven't seen a tractor pull around here in years, and I miss them....
