Angry HELP can't stop the runaway

Ok here it goes today I installed my 3200 spring turned the full power 2.5 turns the star wheel 1/4 turn spun the fuel pin from 12:00 to 3:00 shaved .90 off the plastic washer and smoke screw in 1 turn. Heres where it gets bad , when I went to remove the throtel plate the whole thing came off of the stud not just the top.For the most part I believe I had it in the right spot when I put it all back together, I backed the Idle way down but then had to turn it up on start up to get it to run. I then took it for a ride it felt great but of course I wanted more so when I got back home I turned in the full power as far as I could with the treads messed up from the lock collar turned the star wheel another 1/4 and the smoke screw another 1/2, backed the idle back off and guess what happend you guessed it I started it and the idle took right off I tried everthing to get it down it just won't budge. Should I remove the throtel plate and mess with shaft position? PLAESE HELP I AM LOST . Thanks in advance Ryan

I'm not sure I understand your post but I think you're saying the power screw is stuck and you can't back it off?

If you reclock the throttle lever it won't fix the runaway, but the truck will run like crap. You gotta back that screw out, even if it means taking the pump top off again to get good access to it. Some guys have welded a 13 mm nut to the end of the screw...

I would check and make sure you have the throttle lever indexed correctly, and then back off the fuel screw to keep it from running away.

How fast did it end up going to? If it was on the way to orbit, you may just be stuck with what you had prior to runaway. If it just ran fast, and seemed to level off, you need to reindex the throttle shaft. Make sure your supply line isnt getting in the way of the throttle. I had a 91 I couldnt get to idle lower than 1000rpm, and it turned out to be the stupid nonIC supply line. Some tweaking, and I was down to 800rpm.

Your throttle shaft isn't locked open is it? If not back the fuel screw down a turn or two.
On most trucks the index marks line up with the second notch from the top on the left side and the second notch from the bottom on the right side, when leaning over the fender of course. Kind of like the 10 and 4 o'clock positions.
