HE351CW on a 1st gen

my buddy is looking at a turbo upgrade for his 89 5 speed. he has acess to a HE351CW off an 06 diesel auto. what will it take to get this turbo to work. theres a hole where a sensor goes, is that needed or can that be plugged?
heres a pic of the turbo

A quick search in the 1st gen section will turn up dozens of threads on how to do it. 4"DP, drill out threaded holes in the exhaust flange mount, clock the compressor & figure out wastegate somehow different, or don't clock it and run different IC tubes. Geno's or someone makes a blank for the solenoid hole... or put the solenoid back on.

ATS sells a plug. It isn't just a hole to plug, there is a separate orifice in there, hard to explain.

comp D has a member selling em too

I have installed one in mine. Non I/C but I'll get around to putting a BHIC in there one day.
