hazeing in the morning at start up

where does the ksb get its main power from,and can i straight wire 12 volts to it to test it,,i have my grid heaters unhooked for the summer,could that be a problem,,,im going to tear into it this weekend when i get time,,,thanks for all the help guys,,,,

Mine does the same thing it chokes my wife burns her eyes and half the neighberhood!, i just got 5x14 inj and a timimg spacer and put them on at the same time. I was blaming it on the injectors but i guess thats the timing spacers fault? Maybe Ill remove the spacer.

having the grid heaters unhooked could be a problem, check for power at the KSB with a test light. Clip the light to the KSB and stick it on the NEG side of the battery, when the key is turned to "run" position, you should have power.

I believe the KSB is 12 volt, and it can be 'straight-wired" but leaving it like that is not a good idea. "The increase in fuel pressure can possibly crack the pump case" is what has been posted here in the past when this has come up.

thanks for all the help guys ,,the other day i jumped it straight off the battery for like 2 seconds at a time and it does change the sound of the engine,,so it must be somwwhere in its power source i got a test light and will check it on out and repost what i find,,,,,thanks a lot guys
