Hard Spot in Steering Box
Well, I took my gear box off to check my mounting plate bolts, and when I re-installed the thing I now have a resistance at a certain point at every revolution of the input shaft....I am fairly certain that there is no air in the system, there is power assist, only at this one spot it feels as if there is none....I know its in the hydraulic system somewhere as it feels the same with the drag link disco'd....There is a small kink in the high pressure line that I managed to massage mostly out, but I don't think that it is the source of the problem...As well, I was a little rough with the gearbox when I had it out, tightening the mounting plate bolts was a bit of an ordeal....can anyone point me in the right direction please....thankx

I had somthing like that happen to me and it turned out to be a valve inside of the gear box I now have a PSE stearing gear box (the first 2 they sent me went bad within weeks) the third one has been very nice.

You have the guts of the coupler in wrong. I have done this a couple times. It will all go in there 2 different ways, but only one way will not bind. i went the route of replacing the gearbox and went nuts, eventually trying the opposite way to find I assembled wrong. It is the 2 little rectangular doohickeys that need to be rotated 90 degrees then slid back in. Pm me if you need help, I can take a pic of the correct way for ya.
