Hey guys, will an H1E be an upgrade over a stock turbo? what are the specs on it? is it a direct bolt on? i have heard they are like an hx40, only older?

Also, will i need a turbo of this size to reach 350 horse? Or would a GDS 60 mm wheel and my 14 cm w/g housing work? what boost can the h1c with the upgrade kit handle?

The H1E is pretty much the same turbo as an HX40. There are several wheels available in the H1E, but I think the most common is probably the 58mm compressor wheel. However, the turbine is also larger and has a 4" outlet, so EGT's should be lower than with the small H1C turbine. The H1E's have several different exhaust housings; only the ones with T3 flanges will bolt up to the manifold, and I've only seen 16cm and 18cm housings with T3 flanges. The exhaust outlet is 4", so you'll need a full 4" downpipe with 4" flange.

A compressor upgrade on your turbo may let you reach 350hp, but it will probably get pretty toasty. The H1E would get you to 350hp with lower EGT's, but it may be laggy and you'd have to swap for a wastegated housing to make it a WH1E.
