H1C and HE351CW physical size comparison
I need to make room for the HE351CW for when I upgrade (just waiting for a great deal). For now I have the stock 1st Gen swapped into the motorhome and have only half-inch clearance from the engine cover. Since I'm fabricating a new engine cover for other reasons, I'd like to make allowance for the HE351CW; I wouldn't wanna do the cover mod over again later.
So, how much further does the HE351CW protrude to the side, compared to the H1C?

I want to say physically teh HE351 is smaller. The turbine section is much smaller. The compressor elbow doesn't stick out as much as the h1c because the h1c has the elbow, where the he351 has a tighter radius.

Thanks!!!
On another note, how hot does the turbo get, as far as radiating heat to the cab via the engine cover (doghouse). In my build, the engine cover is between the driver and the front passenger; turbo is right by the left thigh of the front passenger, a foot away only separated by a 2-inch thick engine cover.

the turbo does not radiate any more heat than stock. also a blanket is available for it and the manifold. this would eliminate most of the heat radiation. i have them on the truck in my sig and a side benefit i was not expecting it is quieter.
