I was just wondering at what level of boost does the stock h1c get tired at?What will the htt stage 3 and 4 upgrades do to that max boost?I have heard that its no good past twenty four and im pushing 30.

Sounds like you're in pretty good shape where you're at. Mid to high 20's is about the efficient limit of the stock compressor side of the H1C, but many push it higher on a daily basis---it's not gonna break at 40psi, it's just not helping to make more power at that point. Even the stage IV from HTT will just be a bandaid for the POD's you're planning on, but if you're not towing, it'll be a fun setup.

what would you recommend? would a 35 with some comp wheel upgrades do alright?I dont see much towing time and want to pump the truck up pretty good but do you think an hx35 with a comp wheel will give me the equilibrium of good spool and good high rpm flow? I really do not want to go below a 14cm hsg because i do like the highway life. would you recommend a gated housing? if not what are some ways to port the 18.5 I was blessed with stock?

I have had real good results with a HX35-14cm set at 36psi for towing and highway driving not to slow but not to restrictive. I had a 12cm that worked good but was a little hot when towing a backhow but not to bad. It was a little more fun around town. I like to see the look on the Mudstains and ricers when they get beat by a big 4x4 diesel runing 36" tires and that is 15 years old.

Wit the the valet off my boost gauge maxes at 35 and the temp rises have an 18 non gated and stage IV and she gets real toasty. I would like to say my truck ran the best set right at 32

what is the process involved with setting up your wastegate to vent at 36 lbs? I do not do a whole lot of towing but i do not like the constant high boost of a 12 on the highway? where di you get your 35 from and what did it run you? would it be smart to go through piers and get a piers 35 or it would it be better to find one of a second gen and do the compressor wheel upgrades?wither way what kind of money am i looking at?

also wondering Jake R., what was the advantage of going 1/4 in timing rotation compared to 1/8th i am wanting to time my pump but i am unsure what is involved.is it just the two front brackets toward the radiator or are there more?also if anyone with a little knowledge on the pumps could explain to me what exactly timing the pump does i would appreciate it. trying not to ask too many boring questions for you all.

All you need to set the wastegate is a manual boost controller, there are a zillion of them on Ebay.

A PDR 35 is a hybrid turbo, you can make one yourself with the HTT kit. POD's and a cranked pump are a bit much for a hybrid if you tow, but they are lots of fun in a play truck.

POD's need all the timing you can give them. They pop at a higher pressure, which retards the timing, and the spray pattern is not optimum for our pistons.

There's a how-to in the sticky on moving the pump, so i won't get into tht here.
