Gotta park her for a while

My electrical system is fried, still waiting for a replacement door latch, head gasket is sneeing freeze down the side of the block, and diesel is going through the roof. Going to be in the Jeep for a while, which will make me very unhappy. Horse whipping a 4.0l gasser 2,000 ft up in elevation in 20 minutes every day makes me feel sick!

Do like I did buy another 1stgen. That way you always got one to drive.

I don;t suppose you have a spare turbo to throw on the Jeep? Keep it under 5 psi and you should be fine climbing those grades.

I'm with the OP. Downshiftin' high whinin' struggling up a little 6% grade the Cummins rolls up at 1700 rpm and 5 lbs boost in high gear just ain't the same.

My preferred solution is also a spare 1st gen.

If mine's down I just drive my Dad's 92 D250, we both put alot of work into it so we kinda share it. It rides nice and has 93 bucket seats in it . He has plenty of other vehicles to drive.....

I can't say much my normal driver is a totaled and patched up stratus. The truck basically just gets used to tow and haul stuff now.
