Got My Grille Guard Built

I got my guard all tacked together Saturday. I just have to finish all the welds and then paint it.

Any guesses on how I kinked the 2" X 8" X 3/16" tubing? We don't have a press and I didn't heat it or cut it.

You rolled it over with your combine? (that's what I would have done)

Pack it with sand and then drive over it or bend it using a hydraulic jack.

Looks Good.

'76 Highboy. It's one of many old fords around the ranch.

For the tubing, I took 3 railroad ties, turned 2 on edge and spaced them 5 feet apart. I put the other one on flat in the middle. I then tried to push the center down with the blade of a D6H. It wouldn't cut it. I had to get the 950G to push down on the blade of the D6 before it would give. That stuff's tough.

I'd guess around 300 - 350 lbs.

Thats a lot to hang off the front.

But it blends with the grill perfect!
