There has gotta be somebody in Oregon that can go look at this thing. LOL.

That is an 85 dash and steering wheel. Exact same setup in my 85 Ramcharger Prospector Royal SE.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The grille is obviously an aftermarket early 90s style. That we all agree on. But that's super easy to put right on an 85 truck. And people do it all the time to make their older trucks look better. (me personally... I love the 81-85 look.)

The only real point in question is the "K" in the VIN. But who knows. Maybe Ma Mopar gave it a lower GVWR rating because of the frame being so long. Maybe it had a lighter spring pack in the rear.

My 2wd crew dually has a K in it's VIN. But it is rated at 10k.

We shall never know... LOL

I asked him to post a picture of the data plate in the door jam. That will show actual GVWR and if it was factory dual wheel. We shall see if he does...

Yes sold for much more.
One man stepped up the rest could not stand the heat.
Everyone thinks it comes easy to build a nice truck and it should come cheap,
So out of touch.
Let them jam them selves in a extended cab that will be fun.

If you look at the pics in the link he posted you'll see some serious roof rot.

My buddie's 83 D150 Came with this very large old looking steering wheel with a woodgrain center, It was a factory option because it actually appeared on the option sheet under the hood. It was 16.5" or 19.5" ALOT bigger than the one a few pics up ^^^. That's the wheel that his 85 D250 has and it looks like a minivan steering wheel LOL

Anyone has more info on the big steering wheel they used in the early-mid 80's, let me know I'd like to find one
