Well finally after procrastinating i turned my smoke screw down and turned my fuel up about 2 turns. HOLY MOLY i didnt really think i would see that much out of some screw adjustments. Truck laid 30 feet of rubber (both tires)from a stand still when before it would hardly spin in dirt. Boost never goes over maybe 15- 17 lbs still though about 5 lbs more than i had. the egt 900 - 1000 degrees. I was able to get between 2 and 2.5 turns of the screw before the collar hit. Weird?? I still need to do the diaphgram and star wheel adjustment. I am very happy, the truck feels like it has doubled its power seriously, it is way beyond just a little seat of the pants.

Ya, when I first turned my fuel screw I was SO surprised on how much of a difference it made. Ahh.... back in the days when I had no clue what I was doing

I had the same surprise here. I couldn't believe how the truck woke up with only 1.5 turns. I can't wait to put on a HX-35 and the 3200rpm spring to make the truck much more fun to drive in town.

Once you adjust the diaphragm and starwheel, the truck will be even more of a hoot to drive. I also recommend grinding the AFC fuel cone down some .

Now you've gone and dun it. Your ruint now.Just wait till you get the 3200 gsk. Then the bigg air filter. then the big exhaust. then you'll have to have the stage 4 injectors. then you'll have to move more air so you get the htt 62/14 turbo. then you realize your pushing 45 pounds of boost so you get the head o-ringed and put in head studs to hold it all together. Then the stock lift pump wont pump enough juice so you get the piston pump. Welcome to the slippery slope.

Timb's right! You are in trouble now. This is like taking the drag off the first cigarette or pull from the first bottle. It is real hard to stop once you get going. I was only going to 220 hp and quit. Looking for 300 now.

Yes. The Old Smoky Power Pin is available from Dynomite Diesel, and there are some companies making knock-offs of that design.
