Yeah, you and DNR impress me with your skills, I am intimidated by paintwork, yet would like to be able to do it. I cringe at what most body shops turn out. It's hard to find someone to do it right.

I'm on it. By the end of today it will be ready for color, but I have to go away for about a week so it should see color next week ... hopefully. It's been way too slow of a project and I really want it done. After this I have a 47rh I need to go through and swap out the 727.
I've been watching your progress and it's looking good, even re-painting the interior panels, lots of work.

Well, it's finally got some color on it. It was a marathon of masking getting ready for paint and then more masking during paint due to the three colors before clear but that's it. Now to put it all back together!

sweet man, I was scared to do more than one color... I really like your color though!! Well, I just got all my doors all back together and putting the fenders on this weekend... Your intercooler looks way different than mine.. What year was yours... Well keep up the hard work!!

That intercooler is a Banks unit that was on the truck when I bought it, and that stripe is actually paint, the red was the first color I put down then the silver then the blue.

Very nice color combo looks sweet. Hopefully one day I will be able to post some "in the works" pics. I already have my colors picked out, on color is flat black and the other is my secret

I had a few gremlins set in while it was down. First was the fuel gauge didn't work, so after I had the voltages and grounds where they needed to be I loosened up the fuel sending unit on top of the tank and shook some sense into it. That seems to have cured its errant ways.
The other thing is the speedometer works but neither the odometer nor the trip meter work. I pulled the gauge apart and found the gears good and motor and numbers free turning but it must have needed more attention as it still doesn't work. So I'm looking at a speedo out of an '88 Daytona and the circuit board looks quite similar and is made by VDO as is in the truck. Anyone know if it's identical?
