I need the size of the shifter **** on the Getrag's. I have a friend who just bought a 93 D-250 ext. cab with a getrag. He wants to put a "Q"-ball type shifter from Geno's Garage on the shifter. Will this fit? Geno gives the size of the ball in metric dimensions which I can convert. He is willing to use an adapter if needed. Thanks everyone for your help....Augie

I've worked on 3 or 4 5sp trucks and I don't think any of them were the same. 2 of them had been cut off and a 3/8'' bolt was welded on them and ground down. The other had been cut off to where it had been rethreaded to 7/16''. I'm guessing that over 16 to 20 years of use, abuse, alterations, ect. there could be most anything on them. If he orders a ball from Genos and it doesn't fit do like I did on the 93, take the stick out and weld whatever it takes to fit the ball. These shifters over time must have taken a whuppin.

Yup Dave that is the size of the shifter ball thingy from Geno's. So I take it that it will fit.and R.C.S Yes over time they do take a beating. He bought the truck for his 16 yr. old son so he would have transportation to his bull riding events. What a COOL ride to show up in and then jump on a BULL!!

Augie Dog when these ole trucks came out I wanted one bad. Being the cheap skate I was I wouldn't turn loose the 20+ grand for one. Now I have 3 of them and by the time i'm thru with them i'll probably have 20 grand in each. Lucky young man to get a cool rodeo ride, hope he don't get busted up like I did as a young man.
