Getrag rebuild bearing race trouble!!!

Begun disassembling and the output shaft bearing race will not "fall out" as the manual suggests by tapping on the case with a plastic mallet. My next move is to heat the case to aid removal. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

If you have a welder you can weld a bead around the inside where the rollers made contact with the race and it will fall out.

I'm not sure but I think I used a small punch and tiny hammer to push it out evenly, I do remember there was very little space.
