getrag 4x2 to 4x4

How hard is it to convert the getrag from 4x2 to 4x4?
Do I need to change the main shaft for one used on a 4x4?

I thought I red that somewhere, too bad I was looking for a way to avoid using the divorced np205 and have to make all the new driveshaft and yoke.

It's just a matter of a tear down and rebuild. You will need a 4x4 mainshaft and rear tailhousing.
