Generic D70 rear end swap
OK I recently came across 2 d70 rear diffs from early model pickups(dodge) one 3.73 and the other is a 4.10(i think thats it). Can I swap in one without hooking up the ABS sensor? I know neither have a tone ring, but I cant say I have ever felt my abs work anyways.
Any thoughts?

Go for it.
You may have to relocate perches, shock mounts, etc., but no big deal.
Also may need to swap pinion yokes, or swap drive-shaft yokes to match.
My old Chevy has had no less than three different D-60's out of Dodge trucks; I swapped the drive-shaft yoke to Dodge, relocated spring perches, and welded on shock hangers.
It is easier than it sounds.

Don't forget to compare bolt patterns unless yuo don't mind odd wheels. Watch wheel spacing too. When I was looking I ran across some out of vans and RV's that were pretty narrow despite being duals, includeing 5 bolt, patterns.
