Strange they would change from a slip shaft to a slip yoke. The one i have has a fixed yoke but it came from a chevy. A pic would help if you can provide one.

slip yoke was meant for
2wd trucks and motorhomes, more universal across the board for everyones driveline modification, i hated that i had to downgrade to the 1350 ujoint, the 1410 has over twice the angle capability, the fixed yoke is preferred by the 4-wheelers for dependability, and extreme driveline extensions in agressive terrain. im at 140k on mine, change the synthetic lube before every summer trip, and no complaints, for the size, their really tough.

Slip yoke it is.

Did you have a 1350 yoke welded onto the shaft to match the slip yoke size then?

Here is mine, fixed yoke.

Yep 1350. I think I would rather have your setup. They said my setup causes less vibrations but whos worried about that in these low rpm shakers.

I think they were thinking of racing.

I kept the 1410 on the shaft and have ordered a 1350/1410 combo joint, was tough to find though. Only advantage to my setup is if i have a broken shaft/joint then i can remove it and run around in front wheel drive. I am currently doing this until the u-joint arrives.
