gear ratio & rear end
The tag from under my hood is missing. How can u tell what rear end and what gear ratio I have? Also my max speed in 5th is about 85mph

Larry<br>There should be a tag on your rear diff. It's held in place by one of the bolts that hold the rear diff. on. It has the gear ratio stamped on it. - or- My rear diff is a 3.54 and at 70mph in 5th I would turn about 1900 rpms with the Getrag. With my NV4500HD it's about 100 rpms less. Hope this helps.<br>Bob

Getrag (G360) gear ratios are:
1st = 5.531:1
2nd = 3.017:1
3rd = 1.60:1
4th = 1.00:1
5th = 0.77:1
Rev. = 5.029:1

if you can only go 85 either you've got a power problem or you have 4.10's. I've got 3.54's, some tweaks, and don't have a problem getting to the end of the speedometer

whoops, your 89 speedo only goes to 85 :P Mine goes to 100 and it'll get there, up to 90 is real easy tho
