Today my truck started and then died and wouldn't restart in 6 years its never done this usually it is stone cold reliable. So I started to tracked down the problem I check the lift pump drained the WIF and cracked an injector line. and all seamed to have fuel. I was mad so I thought it was the shut down solenoid but ended up in a fit of rage cuting that one off put it back on and it started right up!!!! But then key still turned off the truck and I knew I must of done somthing wrong is that going to affect anything?

It's common for the connections at the fuel shut-off solenoid to become loose and intermittent. You may have jostled it dinking with the other. Be sure to check them.
Leaving the KSB disabled won't hurt anything other than having a hazier/rougher, idle/warm-up during cold weather extremes.
That KSB is switched on and off by way of a thermostatic switch mounted in the intake-log's cover-plate. All of which is powered by the same blue wire that serves the fuel shut-off solenoid.
