Fuel pin question

I know a guy that completely took the fuel plate out of his 2nd gen and i've heard that he runs the risk of his truck running away, and i was reading a post the other day and somebody said that they took the fuel pin out of ther 1st gen do they run the same risk as the guy i know or would it be safe to do this to a 1st gen.

It won't make it run away, but you will have a fuel leak, that I'll guarantee. With no pin in there to stop the small pin it will over travel, fuel pressure will push it all the way across the bore where the AFC pin rides and a fuel leak around the o-ring seal is almost guaranteed.

You want to run it at full fuel all the time, take the spring out and leave the pin in.
