Here is a link to a small discussion on fuel lubricity. There is a link in there to another site that did testing on different additives. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ight=biodiesel
I plan on running a gallon ish of bio per tank in mine. I have really been wanting to do this, but I keep forgetting to go get a 5 gallon can to keep it in. This week I plan on doing it as I just installed a new injection pump and want it to have a good life.

Lately I have been adding clean used engine oil in my fuel. I have heard Cummins allows up to 5%, I don't use that much though. It seems to help the mileage a little. Has to be better than straight ULSD.

Man every time I come on here I learn something new... Just shows how little I really know....

So is the station bought Bio-diesel all soy-based, like the study said? Also someone from the old thread asked about the shelf life of bio-diesel? And the mix ratio of 50:1, that's 1 part bio-diesel to 50 parts reg ULSD...Correct?

Yup. 50 part ulsd and 1 part bio. I know the bio station near me uses all kinds of stuff they can get their hands on, but mostly a soy based fuel. Still not sure on the shelf life. I was planning on buying 5 gallons at a time. And I burn a tank a week, sometimes more. I am gunna keep a 1 gallon can in the bed box to take to the gas station, pour in the bio then top it off with #2.
