Front dually hub ?
Now that my truck actually moves under its own power, I'm moving on to some less-pressing issues. I would like to run dually wheels up front. I don't want to carry 2 spares and, well, it just looks silly with a SRW front axle Here are my optioins, as I see it:
1-dually front axle
2-dually hubs--made of unobtanium
3-aftermarket adapters--pretty pricey
4-????
What's the best way to go? Other options? Cost-effective is always a concern with this truck

I would use Chevy front dually hubs and swap.
I have seen MANY people who want single wheel stuff to replace the dual wheel stuff they bought on an axle they have. Most will even trade "up" some.
Either way If your serious and patient I bet you could do the swap for the price of packing bearings/wheel seals and some sweat. Make the fella who wants the single wheel hubs pay the postage.

He's exactly right.
I actually put GM hubs on mine when I went from DRW to SRW. GM and Dodge parts interchange. They are not exactly the same, like on a blue print, but funtion the same. Priate4x4 is a big off-road site, I am sure you could find some on there. I would sell you mine, but have a sale pending on them.
What do you think there are worth??
One thing you might consider is calling a GM dealer and getting the P/N for them. Then go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and check 'em out. I was blown away, I got the SRW hubs with new rotors for like $150 a side in GM boxes.
I THINK GM duallys had the 5/8 studs, but don't hold me to it. Dad had an '83 and it takes a big socket to get the wheels off.
